Dear Birdie

Hey team, I’m sorry for my absence last week, but as you could probably guess by the title. On November 13th… I lost my best friend of twelve years. The past ten days, have been an emotional rollercoaster, and I’m still an emotional wreck who cries at the smallest things. However, I don’t want to write any post before publishing this one. So here’s my post dedicated to the best friend a girl could ever have. Dear Birdie…

The Accidental Athlete by Stephanie Atwood Book Review

Sorry for not posting last week, I was fighting strep and was running a fever a few times, and me + fever = nothing makes sense. Needless to say, I’m pretty sure a book, my tea mug, and my cozy bed are calling my name to finish recovering from the little spell of being sick. Speaking of books, I recently read a fantastic book, and here is The Accidental Athlete by Stephanie Atwood book review.

How to Survive an Ankle Stress Fracture

I’ve talked a few times on here about my ankle stress fracture. However, I wanted to go a bit more in-depth on the topic of having a stress fracture. Mainly because… Having one is hard. Because it’s not broken, it’s just thinking about breaking, and people don’t understand what you mean when you say that you have “a stress fracture.” So here’s how to survive an ankle stress fracture – or any other type of stress fracture.

What You Need to Know About Breast Cancer

Today I wanted to talk about something on a more serious note. With it being October, which as we all know is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to talk about that today. Breast cancer holds a special place in my heart since many women in my family have battled this cancer. Which is why I did all the research on what you need to know about breast cancer.

4 Things I’ve Learned From Running

I’m feeling kind of down, and have been for the past week. I miss running. I miss getting up early, lacing up my shoes, and logging in a couple of miles before starting my day. I miss having a good night’s sleep, due to not being able to do any cardio, I can’t burn off excess energy. I’ll be glad when I’m out of the walking boot, and my stress fracture is healed enough to allow me to get back to training. However, I wanted to share with you lovelies the things I’ve learned from running over the past couple of years.

Early this week I re-posted my What is Thinspiration post, and today I wanted to re-post my Fat-shaming vs. Skinny-shaming part two post.  I’m re-posting these because after the blog re-launch there are a couple of posts on body positivity I want to do.

3 Things You Need to Grow Your Blog

I think every blogger at one point in their blogging career has thought that building their audience is a daunting, and overwhelming task. Hey lovelies, can you believe we’re just 25 days away from the new blog re-launch?!? I’m jumping for joy, but also trying not to have a panic attack. Due to all the things on my to-do list for this blog re-launch – it’s 2 miles long; I’m sure of it – I have to keep telling myself why it’s worth doing the re-launch. Therefore I thought I’d share some of my things to remember when blogging because blogging can be hard at times.

How to Recover From an Unproductive Day

Hey lovelies, for the past few days my family and I have constantly been on the go. We spent all day Friday, and Saturday in a car, driving around town. Needless to say, Sunday was a lazy day. However due to the lazy day, and the exhausting two days running around town, I’m tired. This little introvert can only take so much being around people constantly. Therefore I thought I’d share my tips for how to recover from an unproductive day, so that day doesn’t become a week, then several weeks, etc.

Growing With Your Blog

I’ve been doing so much planning here lately and creating things. Which there’ll be more on the “creating things” after the blog re-brand/re-launch. However there’s been one thing on my mind pretty much 24/7, and that’s growing with your blog. What you blog about when you first start blogging, is almost never what you end up blogging a year after you start, and not two years after. That’s called growing with your blog, and blogging about what you’re passionate about, and finding that passion.
