Fitness Is About Loving Yourself Too: Tips To Be Proud Of Your Achievements

Fitness is a difficult topic for most women because it tends to be an obsession in the mind of many. Fitness is for the majority of women about getting the perfect body that you’ve been dreaming of, finally reaching the beautiful size zero. But in truth, there is more to fitness than weight loss. Fitness is the beginning of a new lifestyle, and as a result, its effects are not only long-lasting, but they also touch every aspect of your life. It goes beyond dress size only to improve your mind, your muscles, and your mood. In short, there are several reasons why you should feel proud of your fitness achievements, even if you haven’t reached yet the perfect body that you want to have. Here is why fitness is about loving yourself and the top three fitness achievements that you should be pleased about.

You Stay Motivated

Motivation is a big part of a fitness regime: it’s never easy to find the time to go for a jog when you could just as easily stay at home and watch TV. So, there’s a lot to be said about exercising regularly, even if your body has not yet become what you are aiming for.

Staying motivated is for many a team work, as most successful fitness people tend to exercise with a friend or a group. This creates a new form of community where everyone feels responsible for sticking with the fitness program in a desire to support each other. But knowing your limits is also a good motivation: There is no point starting at a level that is beyond your physical abilities yet as this will be demotivating. In short, whichever factor keeps you going back to your fitness program; you should be proud of yourself for sticking to it.

You Are Good At It

Now you may not be the best, but your skills are improving. If you are tracking your progress, you have surely found that you can run longer distances, or that the same route needs less time for example. Getting better is something that you should cherish and feel happy about. This is positive. If you practice a team sport or an officially recognized activity, why not see if you can join for small championship events. Sometimes, winning a match or an event can be self-rewarding in it, and you will be proud of your golfing trophies or running medals! They are an indication that your fitness program has created new talents.

Your Body Is Changing

Finally, even if you have not yet reached size zero, you can already see your body changing. Muscles are toning and your silhouette has evolved too. A good way to feel good about your fitness regime is to take regular photos to keep a diary of your body transformations. You have taken back the control of your body and you are making it better. That is something that you should be proud about, even if you haven’t reached your goal yet. Every step in the right direction is a positive step, and every effort remodels your body for a stronger and fitter you.
